1. Introduction

AskGTO ("we", "our", or "us") operates the askgto.com website and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and encrypted password. If you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your Google profile information (name and email) but never your Google password.

2.2 Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including poker hand analyses you submit (text, voice transcriptions, and uploaded images), conversation history, and analysis results. This data is used to provide and improve the Service.

2.3 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. We only retain your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your account.

2.4 Technical Data

We automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and access timestamps. This data helps us maintain security and improve performance.

2.5 Website Analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit our public pages and where those visits come from. It is limited to these pages: the landing page, the hand review guide, the live hand review tutorial, pricing, about, this privacy policy, the terms of service, and the register and login pages. For those pages, Google Analytics receives the page address without any query string or fragment (except the utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign tags that show which site or campaign linked to us, such as utm_source=chatgpt.com), the website that referred you (the site only, not the full address), approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, language, and a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie. We also record a few actions: clicking a beta invite link or clicking through to registration on the hand review guide or the live hand review tutorial, choosing to load the demo animation on that tutorial, clicking a "Request beta access" button on the landing, pricing or about page (recorded only with which button it was, such as the top navigation or the pricing card), joining the beta waitlist (recorded only as "a waitlist sign-up happened" and which form it was, never your email), and completing a registration (recorded only as "a sign-up happened", with the sign-up method).

We do not send Google Analytics your poker hands, chat or conversation content, email address, name, account or user ID, invite or beta codes, or payment information, and it is not loaded on the pages where you analyze hands, view history or shared content, or manage your account. If you decline or have not made a choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

2.6 Beta Waitlist

AskGTO is currently in an invite-only beta. If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you enter, which page and form you used, the language the site was shown in, and the time you signed up. We use your email only to send you a beta invite code and updates about your beta access, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising. The waitlist form does not use cookies.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Hand analysis history is stored to enable conversation continuity and historical review. You may delete your analysis history at any time through the Service. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. We keep beta waitlist emails only while the invite-only beta is running; you can ask us to remove yours at any time.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and secure API authentication (JWT tokens). However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to maintain your authentication session and user preferences (such as language and theme settings, and your cookie choice). These are required for the Service to work and are not used for analytics.

Analytics cookies are optional. On our public pages we ask whether you accept Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga). They are set only if you choose "Accept". If you choose "Decline", or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and these cookies are not set. If you later withdraw your consent, we stop sending data and delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. We do not use advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
